Smoked Caper Salt


Capers, smoked Jacobsen kosher salt.

The caper bush (capparis spinosa) is a perennial plant best known for its edible flower buds, which are commonly eaten salted and pickled, as well as a flavor and seasoning all their own. Here, we’ve dried and powdered the pickled buds before adding them to smoked salt.

Use as a finishing salt for roasted vegetables, dust over fresh mozzarella or burrata, adds depth to seared fish or burrata, seared fish or griddled chicken. Medicinally, high in polyphenols and anthocyanins and used as a digestive aid.
